With over 25 years experience in the industry, Mauricio Murillo is a master of coffee.
Starting Mr Coffee's in 2002, Mauricio's background in food science, quality control and coffee cupping, has allowed him to teach his students through a scientific, practical, well-planned and thorough manner.

Through-out the years he has taught some of the industry's movers and shakers, having learned his barista skills in Italy.
Mauricio frequently travels to his home country in Colombia learning from and consulting coffee farmers.
Having trained students all over the world, such as in Dubai, Hong Kong, Singapore, Guatemala, Costa Rica, Colombia, Australia and Barcelona, Mauricio's passion is to teach students innovation in coffee, quality assurance and technique.
Recently, Mauricio wrote and researched his own thesis for the University of Queensland that delved into the issue of sustainability in Colombia's coffee industry.
His passion and time now rests in his Coffee By-Product business CBP, but he still does consulting and barista training to a lucky few!
