This 12 hour intensive Barista Basics Course is for serious individuals who want a holistic approach to learning barista skills. We equip you with the training to not only learn how to make a delicious cup of coffee, but also to learn the science and technology behind what makes an amazing coffee.
In this training we break up the classes into 3 parts.
The first part will teach you about coffee origins, varietals, environment, growing, the culture behind drinking coffee, as well as coffee grind and freshness. During this first class we ask you to have read our manual and come with some examples of yourself about a task given to you before you start.
The second part of the training involves learning the black coffee menu and what makes a good espresso. This involves extensive information about extraction, brew time and grind as well as the correct method of preparing black coffees. We then delve into the milk menu and the components needed to make good textured milk.
Finally, the third class will discuss the milk menu in more depth and the student will have the opportunity to create their own signature coffee.
